Classroom 2.0

My theory pedagogy class attended a presentation on using emerging technologies in the classroom. I'm in the process of overhauling some of my classes to incorporate these emerging technologies, but my question is "How far do we go?" Do we need to overhaul the way we teach everything? Are chalkboards and lecture halls dead (or at least dying)? Textbooks? Do we accept the students where they are and try to bring them over to the academic dark side of books and microfilm and the like? Are we seeing a sort of academic changing of the guard?
